Soup Supper Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Grand Island Christian School To Host 6th Annual Soup Supper
GRAND ISLAND, Nebraska (January 15, 2008) - Grand Island Christian School (GICS) will be sponsoring its 6th annual soup supper on January 30. The soup supper is open to the public and a free-will offering will be collected. “The most important reason for the supper,” according to principal Salcedo, “is to provide an opportunity to get to know our neighbors.”
2008-2009 Theme
This year we will be focusing on becoming a closer school community and working together to help our children grow in their desire to serve each other and Christ. We will be emphasizing how each student, parent, teacher, etc. has an important part in our school and how, in God’s eyes, we all have value and are important because we have been made in His image. This year’s theme verse is:
“In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” --Romans 12:5
Please let us know if you can pray for us. Thanks.
