General Info

In the Fall of 1979, a handful of Godly men met together to discuss an alternative to public school education in the Grand Island Area. Having witnessed the gradual removal of Christian influence, including prayer, from public education, they felt it was time to form a Christian school that could be based on God's Word. Shortly thereafter, Grand Island Christian School opened its doors for the first time, with 2 teachers and 19 students. As God has given the school growth, we have moved from a small, rural setting, to rented space in a local church building in 1994, to our current location at 5-Points in Grand Island in 1996. 

The school is private, state-approved and inter-denominational, operated under the charter of Grand Island Christian School, Inc. This corporation is made up of mature, born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, giving the school quality leadership and guidance.
